What is an Attitude of Gratitude and why is important in your life?

Having an attitude of gratitude is vital for success, happiness, and well-being. When we're in a state of gratitude we focus on what is good in our life, and what we focus on, we tend to attract more of. True? Yes, absolutely!

One of the most powerful affirmations you can say is "Thank You". Imagine how much better your day (or life) would be if you came from a state of gratitude. Your life and circumstances would instantly be elevated.

As William A. Ward once said, "God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say thank you?"

Now there's a thought! Imagine that, 86,400 opportunities to say - wow thanks, this life is really awesome!

Do you want to know the fastest way to success and happiness? Of course you do :>). Have an attitude of gratitude for that which you want, in advance. All great masters know this secret. They know that by being in a state gratitude, that the best possible scenario will take place.

Here's what Neale Donald Walsch has to say about this concept: "When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you, in effect, acknowledge that it is there ... in effect. Thankfulness is thus the most powerful statement to God; an affirmation that even before you ask, God has answered. Therefore never supplicate. Appreciate."

That's a very powerful statement and it's worth rereading! This truth, if used, could completely shift your reality.

Neale goes on to say "This place of knowing is a place of intense and incredible gratitude. It is thankfulness in advance. And that, perhaps, is the biggest key to creation. Such taking for granted is not only condoned, but also encouraged. It is the sure sign of mastery."

We can also be grateful for the negative feelings in our life. It's my belief that the universe wants us to be successful. It wants for us to be happy and healthy. In your own life I'm sure you can sense this is you're aware. How do you feel when you put crap food into your body, or sit around and watch T.V. all day without exercising? What about how you feel when you're being rude to others? It doesn't feel good, does it?

These feelings are the language of the soul; they gently guide you back to your true self. Have an attitude of gratitude for this, and any other negative feelings you may have. Having appreciation for what isn't working allows us to be open to the beauty and wonder of life. Remember as Napoleon Hill once said, "Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."

So what can you be more thankful of today? As you look around your room, notice all the things that are there. Become aware of all the people who had to do something in order for you to be enjoying these things. The people who created them, those who sold them, shipped them, etc, all so that you can enjoy them.

There are so many things to be grateful for. Try this: write down 25 things that you're grateful for. Come on do it!

Did you do it? If you did, how do you feel? I bet you feel lighter, more relaxed, less stressed and happier. True? Amazingly simple and extremely powerful.
